Jimmy Donaldson (born May 7, 1998), better known as MrBeast, is an American YouTube star, entrepreneur, and philanthropist. [6] He is credited with establishing a YouTube video style that focuses on extravagant stunts. His main YouTube channel, "MrBeast", is the fifth-most-subscribed on the platform. Donaldson, who was 13 years old when he started uploading videos to YouTube under the username "MrBeast6000". His initial videos included "Let's Plays" as well as "videos that estimate the the wealth of other YouTubers." He gained fame in the year 2017 after his "Counting To 100,000" video garnered tens to thousands of views in just days. Donaldson hired many of his childhood friends as helpers to run his expanding channel. MrBeast was the primary YouTube channel for Donaldson which had 60 members.
